“Zone of the Dead,” also referred to as “Apocalypse of the Dead” (or “Zona Mrtvih” in Serbian), is a horror film from Serbia released in 2009. The story follows a prisoner transport under police escort, overseen by Interpol, as it heads towards Belgrade. Their journey takes them through Pancevo, where they face an environmental catastrophe and encounter infected individuals intent on attacking them. Interpol agents Mortimer Reyes and Mina Milius quickly understand that their survival against the zombie onslaught depends on forming an alliance with the enigmatic and perilous prisoner.
