
Frantisek (Ondrej Vetchý), a meticulous police officer, is determined to raise his three daughters with strict discipline. He envisions them marrying competent and accomplished men, but they seem to have a knack for choosing the exact opposite. One daughter is persistently trying to conceive, another is only interested in dating eccentric foreigners, and the third is pregnant without knowing the identity of the father. Frantisek and his wife (Simona Stasová) habitually spend their holidays at a nearby lake, although she longs for a seaside escape. During one such vacation, she encounters a free-spirited writer with a hint of suicidal tendencies (Miroslav Táborský), while an alluring colleague with Spanish heritage (Kristína Peláková) enters Frantisek’s workplace, setting off a series of events…
