In pursuit of a £25,000 prize offered by a local newspaper, American filmmakers Georgia and Matt venture to Exmoor in North Devon to capture footage of a legendary creature rumored to roam the isolated landscape. Could this mysterious animal be a leopard, a panther, a hybrid pet, or merely a figment of imagination? They establish a campsite in the forest with an old friend who has his own hidden secrets. Together, they install 42 cameras on trees and rocks, all connected to a central computer system designed to catch every movement as they take turns keeping watch at night. However, their investigation takes a grim turn when they stumble upon decomposing body parts, meticulously wrapped. As more grisly discoveries follow, they come to the horrifying realization that they have entered the domain of a predator, but not the kind they expected.
