In a small Rust Belt town, the closure of the last factory sets the stage for an unexpected protagonist to step forward: the diligent and reserved Allery Parkes. Having dedicated his career to the factory, the elderly Allery struggles to accept a life of inactivity at home. Despite the concerns and objections of his devoted wife Iola, he teams up with his charming neighbor Walter Brewer to breathe new life into the shuttered factory.
