With his marriage on the rocks, Blake convinces his wife Charlotte to leave the city behind and retreat to his secluded childhood residence in the Oregon countryside. Upon reaching the farmhouse under the cover of darkness, they are assaulted by an invisible beast and take refuge inside, securing the house as the creature lurks outside. However, as the night progresses, Blake starts acting oddly, gradually changing into something unfamiliar.
