Following the passing of her distant sister Nikki, whom she hadn’t seen since their separation in foster care, Carly is taken aback to discover that Nikki’s will appoints her as the guardian of Nikki’s adopted daughter, Mallie. As Carly relocates across the country to fulfill her sister’s final wishes, she soon discovers that Mallie has inherited a significant fortune.
