Ryan is a gifted chef who has fallen on hard times due to his overwhelming gambling issues. Forced by his circumstances, he quickly departs to an unnamed Latin American country, seeking refuge with his friend Jack. Jack, a more esteemed chef, has his own set of challenges but offers Ryan a place to stay. Ryan is puzzled by how Jack manages to sustain such a lavish lifestyle, cooking for the wealthy in a tropical paradise. Although he tries not to be jealous, Ryan can’t help but desire a similar life. However, a dark turn of events soon grants him that opportunity. Ryan takes on Jack’s identity and uncovers the lengths to which Jack has gone to maintain the opulent life Ryan has longed for.
