Label him a city dweller or a novice, but don’t yet consider him part of the family. Aspiring Los Angeles attorney James White is heading to Pine Gap’s countryside for the holidays with his fiancée, Sadie Ryder, to finally meet her relatives. After a rocky start, James tries to win over Sadie’s father, Karl, who isn’t fond of lawyers, by posing as an experienced horse rider, hay baler, hunter, and square dancer. However, simply donning a pair of worn jeans and a cowboy hat doesn’t transform him into a cowboy, and he’ll need more than just appearances to win Mr. Ryder’s approval—perhaps even a miracle.
