Hannah, a seventeen-year-old, is grappling with her sense of belonging. Just as she feels completely out of place, her grandfather becomes seriously ill. She and her brother, Charlie, set off on a drive along the West Michigan coast to see him one last time. However, their trip is disrupted when their car breaks down in the Michigan countryside, intensifying Hannah’s quest for purpose.
