Vasermil follows the journey of three teenagers from a challenging neighborhood, each facing harsh realities, who see football as their escape route. Shlomi lives with his widowed mother, younger sister, and stepfather, and earns a living delivering pizzas. Adiel, who is of Ethiopian heritage, takes care of his younger brother and ailing mother. Dima, a recent immigrant from Russia, has an unemployed father and a mother who works as a cleaner. The local football team’s coach recruits these three boys. Their ability to collaborate as a team is crucial for success in the tournament, which could catch the attention of scouts from the local football scene. To win, they must unite, overcome their differences, and rise above feelings of inferiority and prejudice.
