For a decade, inventor David Kressen has isolated himself with his creations, among them Adam, a robot possessing remarkably human-like traits. When journalist Joy Andrews is granted entry to their unique setup, she experiences a mix of repulsion and fascination towards both the scientist and his robotic invention. However, as Adam begins to show unexpected emotions like anger and jealousy towards her, Joy becomes more deeply ensnared in a complex web of deceit, where understanding anyone’s true intentions becomes a challenge.
