Unexpectedly, Aziza finds herself back in her own room, with her plans for an internship in Portugal having fallen through. However, she discovers that her room is no longer hers alone; her mother, Trixi, has rented it out. The new occupant is Zach, a young man in his twenties from New Zealand, who arrived in Germany with no return ticket. From this starting point, the film unfolds into a quasi-documentary exploration of a Kreuzberg ‘situation,’ where everything seems accessible—time, people, the summer, the streets. Ultimately, it culminates in a collision, leaving the audience to ponder whether the film’s journey was ‘for nothing.’
