In the border region of Poonch, Kashmir, a deserted dog was discovered by a childless couple, Major Bharat Kumar Reddy of the Indian Army and his wife, Nandini Srinivasan Reddy. Being an avid admirer of the film TROY, Major Bharat inspired Nandini to name the dog Troy. This four-legged companion formed a deep, soulful bond with Major Bharat.
