For Celeste, a meticulous astronomy professor, this event blends the enchantment of Christmas with her passion for having the right answers. However, when her teammate withdraws to embark on a month-long lecture tour in Asia, Celeste’s team is forced to recruit Max, the new offensive coordinator for the football team. Initially, Celeste views Max as nothing more than an overgrown class clown, despite his impressive sports trivia knowledge—a category where her team has consistently struggled. Although they initially clash, Celeste and Max gradually develop a mutual respect as they partake in campus scavenger hunts, adorn the international house with festive lights, bake Christmas cookies, and progress toward the championship trivia match.
