In 1993, a self-indulgent ventriloquist in Hollywood, California, succumbs to a drug overdose, resulting in her death. Her two children, along with their puppet, are placed in a foster home. There, they endure a horrific existence filled with mistreatment and violence, which ultimately leads to the puppet seeking vengeance.
