To Die in Jerusalem
Watch Trailer
For the past four years, Abigail Levy has struggled to find peace after her 17-year-old daughter, Rachel, was killed in Jerusalem by a Palestinian suicide bomber. The attacker, Ayat al-Akhras, was also a 17-year-old schoolgirl, hailing from a Palestinian refugee camp just a few miles away. Remarkably, the two young women bore a striking resemblance to each other. “To Die in Jerusalem” delves deeply into the Israeli-Palestinian conflict by focusing on the personal tragedies experienced by both families. The film’s most poignant scene occurs during an emotionally intense meeting between the girls’ mothers, offering a contemporary perspective on the conflict through their experiences.
