In a quaint village in North Vietnam, a story unfolds about self-discovery and an evolving love triangle. At the heart of this tale is Nham, a diligent and dependable 17-year-old rural youth. He finds himself entangled with Ngu, his charming yet isolated sister-in-law, who shares his daily toil in the fields. Adding complexity to their lives is Quyen, a lively and fashionable expatriate who has recently returned from the city, eager to reconnect with the village of her childhood. Although the trio is hesitant to express their emotions openly, the romance reveals itself as a metaphorical interplay of feelings. For Quyen, Nham embodies a lost innocence and a past she cannot reclaim, while for Nham, Quyen symbolizes a sophistication and future he might never achieve. In the midst of this emotional entanglement is the fragile Ngu, who finds herself in the most forlorn of situations.
