Fifteen years after their groundbreaking indie film catapulted them to fame, Splick and Jason are now facing their own personal crises as they approach their forties. The two haven’t spoken since a fallout in the late ’90s, and both are struggling with stalled careers and strained relationships. Splick’s latest TV show, which revolved around his character’s bizarre obsession with dessert foods, gets abruptly canceled, forcing him to move back into his childhood room at his mother’s apartment in New York. Bombarded with nostalgic comments about the “good” and “funny” movies he once made with Jason, Splick decides to track down his old partner and attempt a reconciliation.
