Dr. Walter Newman, a man of simple origins, harbors grand ambitions to eradicate all diseases through genetic engineering. His fixation on this goal pulls him further into a shadowy realm, causing him to neglect his wife, Olivia, and his duties to the patients at Edgewood Asylum. Meanwhile, his devoted yet sinister nurse, Ms. Tinsley, takes initiative by secretly conducting her own experiment. When Dr. Newman discovers the outcome, a grotesque being, part human and part horror, is brought into existence. Dr. Newman understands the necessary course of action, but the question remains: is it already too late?
