In the year 1832, Raphaël, a young man of 22, finds himself on the verge of ending his life due to his destructive gambling habits. Just as he is about to leap into the Seine, a shopkeeper presents him with an intriguing item: a mystical “skin of sorrow.” This object promises to fulfill all his desires, but with each wish granted, it diminishes the time he has left to live.
