Set during the era of fascist rule in Portugal, this series is a satirical take on the anti-communist hysteria of the time. It chronicles the escapades of the “Lusitanian superhero,” the fervently nationalistic Captain Falcão, who is dedicated to carrying out the directives of António de Oliveira Salazar in his battle against the “red threat.” The cast features Gonçalo Waddington as Captain Falcão, David Chan Cordeiro—who also oversees the stunt coordination—as his partner Puto Perdiz, and José Pinto portraying the Portuguese dictator, António de Oliveira Salazar.
