THE PAGAN QUEEN is a provocative film that explores the decline of ancient pagan traditions in central Europe. It draws inspiration from the Czech legend of Libuse, the Slavic queen who reigned in 8th century Bohemia. Endowed with mystical abilities, Libuse was a visionary and prophetess capable of foreseeing the future. During a period of significant cultural transformation, she established the city of Prague. Libuse governed the regional tribes alongside her two stunning sisters, Kazi and Teta, and led an army of women commanded by her closest ally, the Amazonian warrior Vlasta. However, when their peaceful agrarian society is threatened by marauding invaders and divided by power-hungry landowners, Libuse’s people compel her into marriage.
