Elizabeth June attempts to move past the devastating loss of her eight-year-old daughter by resuming her teaching career. The tragedy has strained her marriage, causing her husband Brian to leave, while Elizabeth is determined to mend their relationship and regain a sense of normalcy. At her new job, she is paired with a mentor, Paul Allenham, who conceals a dark and violent history.
