
Cetarti is engulfed in a void of aimlessness. Unemployed and lacking direction, he spends his time glued to the TV, absorbed in documentaries. His monotonous existence is shattered when he learns that his mother and brother have been shot dead. This news propels him from Buenos Aires to the dilapidated town of Lapachito in Chaco, northern Argentina, where he must handle their remains and claim the life insurance payout. In Lapachito, he encounters Duarte, a local figure of authority and an associate of his mother’s killer, who is also involved in kidnapping for ransom. As Cetarti becomes entangled in Duarte’s sinister operations, he finds himself resorting to unlawful activities to secure the insurance money, culminating in a bizarre and unforeseen conclusion.
