Now in his final year of college, Ryan is nearing a mental collapse due to the prolonged stress and guilt over Amy’s disappearance. His girlfriend, Rachel, exasperated by Ryan’s emotional withdrawal and self-pity, seeks assistance from Father O’Neal, one of Ryan’s former professors. Father O’Neal, who is both a priest and an archaeologist, decides to help Ryan overcome his haunting sorrow by employing his investigative skills and intelligence to uncover the truth behind Amy’s disappearance and the Bloody Mary legend.
