John William ‘Will’ Cooper is a contemporary ranch owner struggling to keep his property afloat during tough times, with the help of his friend and foreman, Amos Russell. The return of Will’s estranged daughter, Jake, for her grandfather’s funeral sparks tension between them, as they disagree on managing the ranch and grapple with the past tragedy of Jake’s mother’s death, for which she holds Will responsible.
