A grumpy teacher at a New England prep school finds himself stuck on campus during the Christmas holidays to look after a few students who have no place to go. Over time, he unexpectedly connects with one of the students, a smart but troubled youth, as well as the school’s head chef, who is grieving the loss of her son in Vietnam.
