In the early Qing Dynasty, an assassin from the Jin guard, who were the imperial protectors during the Ming era, infiltrated General Li’s palace and successfully retrieved the Chicken Cup. Fast forward three centuries, within a temple, the leader of the Jin guard, He Fan, is desperately trying to defend the Chicken Cup from treasure hunter David Wong. He Fan perishes in the struggle, leaving only his son, He Xingyun, as the survivor, while the treasure ends up in a nearby lake.
