Struggling with depression after his wife’s recent passing, Tom has accumulated significant gambling debts. He decides to stay with his affluent Aunt Florence, hoping she might include him in her will. When a relentless creditor warns him that his time is running out, Tom concocts a scheme with Elodie, the undertaker’s daughter, to loot the graves of the wealthy individuals interred in the cemetery nearby. After their grave-robbing escapade, Tom returns to Florence’s home, where unsettling events begin to unfold. He starts experiencing eerie sights and sounds that seem to align with the deaths of those he has robbed. Disturbingly, Tom seems to be the only one aware of these occurrences.
