Hisashi and Mai are a joyful couple in their twenties, eagerly planning their wedding. However, just three months before their big day, Mai falls gravely ill. Her heart briefly stops, leading her into a deep coma. Despite the uncertainty of her awakening, Hisashi visits her in the hospital every morning before heading to work. Mai’s parents suggest that he move on and find someone new, but Hisashi remains steadfast, hoping for her recovery. Miraculously, after several years, Mai starts to regain consciousness and even speaks a few words. Sadly, she has suffered brain damage and no longer remembers Hisashi.
