The movie revolves around a Spanish tapas bar and explores the romantic entanglements of the loosely connected individuals living in the nearby community. Among the couples are a middle-aged woman and a younger man, an elderly woman involved in drug dealing and her ailing husband, the owner of the tapas bar and his separated wife, as well as two immigrants from China.
