Jack Sparks is addicted to uncovering stories, always on the hunt for a narrative that hasn’t been told. As a reporter for his local cable TV show, “The Untold Story,” airing on channel 23, he has amassed a vast collection of stories from his coastal hometown. Despite his extensive portfolio, Jack is still in pursuit of the one story that will catapult his career to new heights. He is a solitary figure, tirelessly working towards his goal day and night. When an anonymous source tips him off about a “truly significant untold story,” Jack seizes the chance to break free from his usual routine. His investigation leads him to a band named Steve Phoenix, and he soon finds himself deeply embedded with this local group (portrayed, fittingly, by the actual local rock band Steve Phoenix).
