A massive meteor is rapidly approaching Earth, prompting a space defense team to launch a missile that appears to obliterate it. However, a fragment of the meteor crashes in an isolated region of Europe. Meanwhile, a rising American rock band, touring across Europe, experiences a van breakdown near the meteor’s landing site. The surroundings are unsettlingly silent, and although they discover signs of habitation, no people are present. As they slowly piece together the mystery, they realize the meteor is having a lethal impact on them.
