Mykola, an unconventional pacifist with a desire to contribute positively to humanity, finds his idealistic world shattered when conflict erupts in Donbass. The militants’ brutal actions result in the death of his pregnant wife and the destruction of his home. After recovering, Mykola makes a pivotal choice to join a sniper unit. Confronted with his wife’s murderers, he experiences an emotional breakdown and initiates a campaign of “sniper terror” against the adversaries. His instructor, who ultimately suffers a fatal injury, prevents Mykola from meeting a pointless end. The loss of his comrade leaves a lasting impact, and Mykola becomes prepared to lay down his life.
