Set against the deteriorating urban environment, Rick Miner, an unofficial insurance investigator, is assigned to look into the dubious death of a former convict linked to a million-dollar life insurance policy. As Rick retraces the deceased’s actions, he becomes more and more disturbed by the sequence of events and begins to question his own mental stability.
