Jacob Tate (Kent Faulcon), a hitman with military training, receives an assignment from his handler (Eric Roberts) to travel to a quaint Southern town and assassinate Diane Shaw (Denise Boutte), a charming English teacher. Upon arrival, Diane mistakenly believes Jacob to be her estranged brother, a misunderstanding he exploits to bide his time for the perfect kill. However, as he becomes entangled in the vibrant dynamics of Diane’s family, Jacob faces a dilemma: should he carry out the seemingly straightforward contract killing, or unravel the enigma of why someone would target the innocent Diane?
