Unspeakable
In the early 1980s, the AIDS crisis erupted and swiftly turned into a widespread epidemic. Authorities tasked with ensuring public safety fell short of their duties. The public was left uninformed and fearful of voicing their concerns. A mix of ignorance, arrogance, political maneuvering, and economic interests resulted in betrayal, cover-ups, and scandal. “Unspeakable” narrates the story from the viewpoint of two families ensnared in a national tragedy, alongside the medical professionals, corporations, and bureaucratic systems involved.
