Andy, a down-and-out musician without a job, unexpectedly teams up with his 12-year-old nephew, Errol, after his disorderly sister, Sam, guilts him into taking care of the boy. This all happens on the very day Andy had intended to end his own life. Struggling with both childcare and responsibility, Andy attempts to steer Errol away from trouble, even as he finds himself deeply entangled in it.
