The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil
The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil

The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil is a version of the reality TV series The Ultimate Fighter, produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship. This season was notable for being the first to be entirely filmed outside of Las Vegas, Nevada, with production taking place in Brazil. It included 12 episodes and concluded with a live finale in Brazil, which was broadcast on pay-per-view in June 2012. Filming began in February 2012, and the show was conducted in Portuguese. The Brazilian production company Floresta produced the season, which aired on Globo in Brazil. Episodes were initially available online at TUF.tv every Sunday night and later shown in a marathon on Fuel TV leading up to the finale.

On December 13, 2011, during a press conference before UFC 142, Dana White revealed that Vitor Belfort and Wanderlei Silva would be the season’s coaches. Despite this announcement, Belfort still competed and won against Anthony Johnson at UFC 142, differing from previous seasons where coaches typically did not fight other competitors until they faced each other at the end of the season.

The UFC conducted open tryouts on December 14, 2011, seeking Lightweight and Middleweight fighters who were at least 21 years old and had at least two wins in three professional bouts. From the applicants, 350 fighters were invited to participate. The season featured competitors from the Featherweight and Middleweight divisions.
