In a world where the ancient deities have perished, only one god remains—Xingzhi. Known as the God of Action, he has dwelled alone in the heavens for millennia, devoid of emotion and desire. During a fierce clash between immortals and demons, Xingzhi single-handedly altered the course of the battle, leading to the disappearance of Du Men and making his whereabouts elusive.

Centuries pass in the blink of an eye. Shen Li, a queen born with a pearl in the demon realm, leads a life of brilliance and splendor. However, as she approaches her thousandth birthday, the threat of a political marriage looms. Fleeing from this unwanted union, Shen Li is forced back into her original phoenix form and crashes to Earth, gravely injured. Mistaken for a plump chicken by a mortal vendor, she is stripped of her feathers and caged for sale while unconscious.

The destinies of Xingzhi and Shen Li become intricately intertwined through what appears to be a chance encounter.
