Lena and Martin were once deeply in love, but as with many relationships, the passage of time and various challenges led them to conclude that separating would be best for everyone involved. Confronted with a challenging housing market, they opt not to sell their home. Instead, they choose a “Bird Nesting” arrangement, where the parent responsible for the children stays in the main house, while the other resides in the separate garage. As Lena starts exploring the dating scene, Martin starts to recognize his own role in the breakdown of their marriage.
