“Rules of Engagement” is a comedic exploration of the various stages in male-female relationships, depicted through the perspectives of three different couples: Adam and Jennifer, who are newly engaged; Jeff and Audrey, who have been married for years; and Russell, a bachelor actively seeking romance. The film illustrates how the often perplexing phases of relationships resemble a roller coaster ride—no matter how much others describe it, true understanding comes only from personal experience.
