“Oskyldigt dömd” is a Swedish drama series that debuted in 2008. The inaugural season, consisting of twelve episodes, was filmed in February 2008 and later broadcast in the fall. It first aired on Finland’s FST5 channel on September 24, 2008, and on the same night, it was shown on Sweden’s TV4. The series is a production of Filmlance. On January 23, TV4 revealed that Mikael Persbrandt would star as the lead, and by February 10, additional cast members were announced, including Helena af Sandeberg, Sofia Ledarp, Marie Richardson, and Mirja Turestedt. Interestingly, TV4 had already begun developing the second season before the first had even premiered. The first season’s script was crafted by Johan Zollitsch, Jan Arnald, Karin Gidfors, and Hans Rosenfeldt, while the second season was penned by Thomas Borgström and Sara Heldt. Filming for the second season occurred in the spring of 2009. Although TV4 has not disclosed the exact production costs, they have acknowledged that a significant amount of money was invested.
