For hundreds of years, humans have gazed at the stars, pondering whether we are solitary in the cosmos. In a month’s time, SCIENCE will collaborate with TED and the SETI Institute (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) to engage individuals who share this curiosity in addressing this pivotal question through a groundbreaking multimedia project titled ARE WE ALONE? This initiative coincides with the launch of a significant new platform, SETI Live, designed to enable and inspire “citizen scientists” from diverse backgrounds to participate in the quest to discover extraterrestrial life.
