Ed Goodson, a candid and outspoken father, takes pleasure in sharing his unsolicited and frequently politically incorrect opinions with anyone who will listen. No one is spared from Ed’s tirades, not even his sons: Henry, an aspiring writer who has become an unpaid blogger, and Vince, the timid partner in a real estate team with his assertive wife, Kathleen. When Henry realizes he can no longer afford rent with his attractive roommate, Sam, who he secretly admires, Ed shows a rare moment of kindness by inviting Henry to live with him.
