“Moonlighting” is an American TV series that was broadcast on ABC from March 3, 1985, to May 14, 1989, with a total of 66 episodes. Featuring Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd as private investigators, the series blended elements of drama, comedy, and romance, and is recognized as one of the pioneering and impactful examples of the comedy-drama, or “dramedy,” genre in television.

The theme song, performed by jazz vocalist Al Jarreau, became a popular hit. The show is credited with launching Willis’s career and giving Shepherd a significant success after several underwhelming projects.
