Based on a popular Danish concept, “Married at First Sight” is an intense social experiment that tracks the journey of six courageous individuals seeking a lifelong partner. They accept a daring challenge: to legally wed the moment they first lay eyes on each other. A team of four experts—sexologist Dr. Logan Levkoff, spiritual advisor Greg Epstein, psychologist Dr. Joseph Cilona, and sociologist Dr. Pepper Schwartz—will use scientific matchmaking to form what they consider three ideal couples. These couples will not meet or know anything about each other until they are at the altar, seeing each other for the first time as they marry. Each episode of “Married at First Sight” will explore the traditional experiences of newlyweds, from the honeymoon phase to settling into their new lives and other common marital events. After spending several weeks together, each couple must decide whether to stay married or part ways.
