Damien Trench, a high-strung culinary author, resides in Queen’s Park with his partner, Anthony. The series centers on Damien’s experiences both inside and outside the kitchen as he works on his new book, “In and Out of the Kitchen,” a journal chronicling his life and cooking practices, regardless of how grim or gritty they may be.

Each installment captures a few days in the lives of Damien and Anthony, along with their seemingly omnipresent builders, Mr. Mullaney and Steven, and Damien’s formidable agent, Iain. Damien yearns for a peaceful existence focused on savoring fine cuisine, yet he also strives for perfection in every aspect of life. Unfortunately, things rarely unfold as he hopes. While his culinary creations are always successful, his personal life is anything but predictable.
