“Hong Gil-dong” is a South Korean TV series from 2008 featuring Kang Ji-hwan as the lead, alongside Sung Yu-ri, Jang Keun-suk, and Kim Ri-na. The show draws inspiration from the fictional tale of Hong Gil-dong, a Robin Hood-like figure from Korea’s Joseon Dynasty, but incorporates contemporary elements and humor.
