“Fantastic Four: World’s Greatest Heroes” is an animated TV series inspired by the Marvel Comics’ Fantastic Four and its film adaptation. This marks the fourth animated venture for the team, blending 2D anime-style visuals with 3D computer graphics, crafted by the French animation studio MoonScoop and its division, Taffy Entertainment, in partnership with Cartoon Network. In the U.S., the series experienced an inconsistent broadcast schedule on Cartoon Network. It debuted on September 2, 2006, as part of Toonami, but only 8 out of the 26 episodes aired before it was unexpectedly removed. The show made a comeback on June 9, 2007, just before the release of “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer,” but again, only nine more episodes were shown, leaving nine episodes unaired in the U.S. It briefly appeared on Boomerang before transitioning to the Nicktoons Network, where the remaining episodes were finally broadcast in the winter of 2009. In the U.S., the series is distributed by 20th Century Fox and 20th Television, while Warner Bros. Television Distribution handles international distribution.
